Pedestrian killed in Harford County hit-and-run
A 33-year-old man died after a hit-and-run in Harford County Sunday, according to Maryland State Police.
Authorities said the man was struck around 2 a.m. by a vehicle going northbound on I-95, south of Riverside Parkway.
The man was walking in the left lane when he was hit by a 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, police said. The driver fled the scene.

Between 2019 and 2023, there were a total of 2,710 pedestrian-involved crashes reported in the state, and 133 of those resulted in a death, data shows.
Anne Arundel County hit-and-run
A recent hit-and-run in Anne Arundel County has a mother hoping for a miracle as her son is in critical condition.
Emmanuel Kyler was hit by two cars while waiting for an Uber on June 21, his mother said.
The first driver left the scene, while the second driver stayed and called 911.
"They did remain on the scene. That individual rendered aid, specifically CPR, potentially saving his life," Anne Arundel County Police spokesperson Justin Mulcahy said.
On June 25, Emmanuel Kyler's mother, Sheila Kyler, told WJZ that her son was still in critical condition with spinal cord and head trauma, along with broken bones.
"If anyone knows anything that can help us find the person who hurt my son, please reach out to local authorities," Sheila Kyler said.
"I'm hopeful, because I believe in miracles," she said. "If nothing else comes from this, please just say a prayer for Emmanuel."
