A driver was arrested after crashing a car into a house early Saturday in the Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago, following a chase from northwest suburban Park City.

Around 1:30 a.m., Park City police responded to a report of shots fired at the Colonial Park Apartments, and found a 29-year-old man who had been shot.

The victim was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center for treatment.

Meantime, police were told that the suspects had fled in a silver Chevy Impala. An officer spotted the vehicle and tried to pull the driver over.

Following a high-speed chase, the Impala crashed through a guardrail and into a home in the 4100 block of North Kostner Avenue around 2 a.m.

Four people were taken into custody. Police said the driver, whose name was not released, was charged with two counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding. The three passengers were released without charges.

The shooting remained under investigation Saturday afternoon.
