Suspect arrested in Kildeer, Illinois bank robbery, authorities say
The man suspected in the bank robbery in far northwest suburban Kildeer Friday morning is in custody.
The FBI said the 56-year-old man robbed a Bank of America on Rand Road around 10:30 a.m.
Investigators said he gave a note to the teller implying he had a gun, but he didn't pull one out.
He got away with an unknown amount of cash and drove off in a newer model GMC Acadia.
No Injuries were reported.
Authorities said the suspect was arrested just before 7:30 p.m. Friday during a traffic stop at the intersection of Route #31 and Alexandria Boulevard in McHenry City.
He was taken into federal custody without incident, and the stolen money was recovered.
