2 people are dead in North Hollywood after stabbing and police shooting
Two people have died after a stabbing and police shooting outside a North Hollywood home Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened just before 1 p.m. on Beck Avenue, several blocks from Strathern Street, LAPD said. Officers were initially responding to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers found a woman suffering from stab wounds, police said. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Investigators say the officers "made contact with the suspect," which resulted in a police shooting. The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
No officers were injured, police said.
