There have been three homicides in Minneapolis since Friday morning, according to police.

The first homicide happened early Friday near  Franklin Avenue and Lyndale Avenue. Police arrived to the area around 2:30 a.m. and found a man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

Police say the suspect fled the scene.

Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, police were called to 24 Street East and 18 Avenue South. Officers found a 20-year-old man with life threatening injuries.

The man was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, but also later died from his injuries. Police believe that an argument led to the shooting. The shooter fled the scene and has not been arrested.

About 12 hours later, police responded to a homicide near 30th and Grand Ave South. Police have said that a man is dead and no arrests have been made.

Homicides in Minneapolis are down from this time last year.
