Sunday is going to be stunning in the Twin Cities, with low humidity, highs right around 80 and light winds.

There is an air quality alert in the northernmost part of the state due to wildfire smoke, with the most unhealthy air in the northeastern part. That alert is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday.

The Twin Cities could see storms come in from the west overnight, and could see a wet morning commute. Nothing severe is expected.

After that, Monday is nice as well, with a mix of sun and clouds. Dew points will creep up a bit and highs will be near 80.

Summer makes a comeback on Tuesday as it gets even more humid and hot. Rain is possible north of the metro. The Twin Cities has a better chance of showers in the evening.

For the rest of the week, there are chances for rain every day with some storms in the mix. The best chance for severe weather is later on Tuesday, with strong winds and hail being the main threats.

Wednesday will be the hottest day this week with highs in the 90s.

Expect the heat and humidity to persist into next weekend.
