Possible tornadoes batter western Wisconsin communities
While Minnesota was largely spared from Thursday's severe storms, possible tornadoes were spotted in at least two western Wisconsin communities.
There were more than a dozen tornado warnings and multiple observed tornadoes in Minnesota and Wisconsin as moved across the states.
Possible tornadoes were spotted in Benson and New Richmond in Wisconsin. Zach Hunnula, 12, captured video on his school bus of one near Highways G and 65 at about 3:30 p.m. Hunnula says his fast-acting bus driver took the kids, and students on another bus, to his shed to ride out the storm.
Thousands of customers across Minnesota are still dealing with power outages on Friday, according to Xcel Energy.
The weather also causing significant delays at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Thursday, with more than 130 flights delayed at one point, .
Friday will be a much calmer day in the Twin Cities, with scattered showers, below-average highs and plenty of wind.

Even with drier weather and a bit more sunshine over the weekend, especially on Sunday, temps won't rebound much. Expect highs close to 60 again on Saturday with a slight jump into the mid-60s on Sunday.
Another system may bring some more showers and storms early next week, but there's ample uncertainty with timing and placement.
The extreme heat will stay at bay as temperatures look to stay fairly seasonable next week, with highs in the 60s and lows closer to 50.
