Shelter-in-place order in Moorhead lifted, male in custody
Moorhead, Minnesota, residents no longer need to take shelter as an earlier incident is resolved, with one person in custody, police said.
A Monday morning alert asked those in the area of 40th Avenue South and 23rd Street South to stay in their homes and lock their doors.
Neither the alert nor the police disclosed information about the nature of the incident. Police said the order to shelter was lifted at 12:20 p.m., and a male of unknown age was in custody.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency manages the alert system, and local law enforcement handles issuing the alerts.
