SH 360 in Arlington back open after deadly crash closes lanes for several hours
A deadly crash involving a pedestrian prompted a large portion of State Highway 360 in Arlington to shut down Friday morning.
The crash was reported around 5 a.m. at SH 360 and Randol Mill Road, according to the Arlington Police Department. A driver reported hitting something in the roadway.
When officers arrived at the scene, there were remains of a man in the main lanes of traffic. Police believe that after the man was first struck, multiple other vehicles ran over him.
said southbound SH 360 was shut down at Avenue J. The driver who called 911 is cooperating with police and no criminal charges are expected.
The lanes were initially to be closed for about three hours. They finally reopened just after 10:30 a.m., nearly five hours later.
