Skies clear across North Texas after morning of storms
After a morning of storms across North Texas, skies are clearing up and rain chances remain isolated.
The highest chances for storms are possible during the afternoon hours along and east of I-35.
Clouds will be slow to clear the rest of Thursday from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and eastward.
Western areas will see some sunshine and warmer temperatures in the mid/upper 80s this afternoon. Areas along the I-35 corridor will top out in the low 80s, while eastern areas will remain cooler in the upper 70s.
Northwesterly flow develops once again as the area of low pressure that brought the heavy rain continues to pull away from the area.
In Palo Pinto County, the Santo Volunteer Fire Department reported up to 4' of water on roads after storms late Wednesday night.
Scattered showers will remain possible through the weekend but won't be as widespread as the past two days.
Temperatures will warm back into the 90s starting Friday through the weekend, with temperatures in the mid-90s next week.
