Massive fire destroys RV, fruit stand in SW Miami-Dade
A raging fire destroyed a recreational vehicle, a trailer and fruit stand overnight in Southwest Miami-Dade.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said just before 12:30 a.m. they responded to reports of a trailer fire near SW 104 Street and Krome Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found a fruit stand fully engulfed in flames which had spread to a nearby small trailer and a recreation vehicle.
Additional fire crews were called in and mounted an aggressive attack on the fire, MDFR said.
Firefighters were able to put the massive blaze out in 30 minutes.
Fire officials said it was fortunate that the fire happened on the edge of the property which helped to keep it from spreading to other structures.
Three people who were living in the RV have been displaced.
There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
