Mostly cloudy, muggy Saturday with a few isolated showers, storms possible in Philadelphia region
The theme this weekend is gray and humid; toss in isolated showers and storms, too. At least the temperatures will be comfortable Saturday. On Sunday, we chase 90 degrees again with plenty of humidity, producing a sticky day at best.
A warm front will lift north across the area late Saturday, triggering the isolated storms. Be aware that any storm could have tropical downpours with localized flash flooding possible.
Not all of us will see rain or a storm, but it's not a bad idea to carry an umbrella. Isolated, brief, damaging wind gusts are also possible. A cold front sweeps past late Sunday with more isolated showers and storms throughout the day.
Monday through Wednesday, much drier, cooler, and pleasant conditions arrive behind the cold front. Skies will be sunny, humidity will be low, and highs will only reach the low to mid-80s. These may be some of the nicest days so far this summer.
By Thursday, we warm to the 90s again, and on Friday, another chance of storms is in the forecast.
