Scattered showers, cloudy skies lead North Texas into the Fourth of July weekend
It's been about three weeks since DFW logged a day only in the mid-80s for a high. Clouds and occasional light rain kept the typical July heat at bay. Rain chances will continue into fireworks time Thursday night, but stay low
An upper-air disturbance will slowly move over North Texas overnight, bringing rain chances that go all the way into Friday afternoon. This means another day in the 80s.
Afternoon isolated storms are possible Saturday and Sunday as temperatures continue to stay below normal.
By later this week, rain chances will diminish, and temperatures will get very summer-like. Long-range forecasts suggest more rain and cooler weather arrive mid-month.
